Is IndeVets relief?
No, we do not consider IndeVets to be typical relief (though you get all the flexibility and freedom of relief work). Our vets are Associates and W-2 employees who get reliable compensation, benefits, built-in support, professional development and growth opportunities.
What are the different ways I can work?
We offer several different shift types: GP, urgent care, ER, surgery, or dentistry. And you pick them all right from the palm of your hands in the IndeVets app. We also offer several schedule types including Full Flex where you have complete control of your schedule; or longer-term placements of either 3 or 6 month commitments to a hospital you choose for at least one shift per week.
What do you pay?
We offer highly competitive compensation to all our vets, in addition to full medical, dental, and other benefits. We don’t work on production, and you’ll get paid hourly – not by shift. If your shift goes long, you are paid for the duration, including breaks. There are many options to earn more money including working more than the required minimum hours (34 for FT/25 for PT); picking promoted shifts that pay more; setting up a long-term placements, and so much more.
What if I don't like the hospital I go to?
Just say the word. You have built-in support to manage the issue and never need to schedule at that hospital again. To (hopefully) avoid that from happening, our virtual hospital profiles give you the 411 on every clinic – the workflows, their procedures, dress code, even where to park.
Do you have any other support systems in place for vets?
YES! You’ll never vet alone. IndeVets are supported at every turn by an advocacy team that includes:
- A senior-level Director of Clinical Excellence, a vet who provides professional guidance and clinical advice
- A Stategic Support Manager (SSM), who is your daily point of support in your local geography
- A dedicated veterinary social worker for mental health support, whenever you need it.
