Clinical assessment & interview

You know who understands, better than anyone, what makes a good vet? Vets. IndeVets’ doctor assessment system was built by – and is still run by – our clinical leadership team (CLT). Not a bunch of suits or tech bros.

The CLT team puts Associate IndeVets through a rigorous, 8-step hiring process. It’s designed to spot doctors with the perfect mix of clinical expertise and team player(ness). Because every IndeVet needs to be able to walk into your clinic on day one and deliver without a hitch – both professionally and culturally.

Hands-on, clinical management

IndeVets is the only veterinary relief staffing company in the industry to actively managee and support their vets with a team of 15 practicing vets on our clinical leadership team.

Each IndeVet has their own dedicated, clinical support team that includes:

  • A Director of Clinical Excellence: responsible for upholding high standards of care
  • An Area Clinical Lead: provides direct day-to-day support to veterinarians in the field

Together, this duo gives each relief vet coaching and oversight. Their role is to make sure every IndeVet provides the highest standards of veterinary medicine, excellent patient care, and great team communication in your clinic – consistently, reliably.

IndeVets is the only relief staffing provider that requires all vets to continually learn and develop. That means not only staying up to date with proprietary CE and extensive certification requirements, but expanding their skills, too.

  • Mentorship: Pairs new and recent veterinary school graduates with experienced IndeVets mentors.
  • Continuing Education: At least two free CE courses per month, plus a stipend for additional CE, licenses, and other professional development.
  • Certified vets: All IndeVets are Fear Free and ProHeart certified.
  • Mental health and wellness support: IndeVets is the only relief staffing company with an in-house veterinary social worker who provides on-demand support, burnout recovery programs, and RACE-approved CE on mental health.
  • IndeAcademy: A proprietary approach to professional and personal development to drive clinical excellence. It’s comprised of learning tracks focused on wellness, leadership, and 38 comprehensive clinical topics.
