You’ve got questions, we have answers. These are some of the most common things we get asked about what it’s like to be an IndeVet. We love inquisitive types, so if you don’t see the answer to your question here, use our contact form to share what’s on your mind.
It’s easy to get started. Click here to upload your resume and apply. We will be in touch to schedule a call so we can hear your story: what kind of medicine you like to practice, what your favorite shifts are to work, and how you approach client communications, to name a few things. Our process includes interviews with our leadership team, clinical discussions, background checks, reference reviews and personality surveys.
We know that the ideal work schedule means something different to each person. Our structure is designed for flexibility in the workplace, so we allow you to design a schedule that works for you. The more commitment you make, the more benefits. Part-time benefits start at 25 hours a week; full-time benefits at just 34.
Yes. Most of our shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours. Whatever works for you, works for us. Weekend shifts are sometimes shorter, but the choice is always yours. We know that when you choose where, when, and how often you work, it leads to better health and happiness.
Our doctors, as well as our hospital partners, prefer to know their scheduling with as much notice as possible to avoid unnecessary anxiety. We ask you to pick your shifts 30-60 days out, at a minimum. You can also add last-minute shifts, and you can schedule out months ahead, if you want.
No. But keep in mind we’re in the business of happy vets, not burnout. We encourage you to work the hours that make you love being a vet.
Our associate IndeVets are W2 employees that are paid every two weeks!
Most of our IndeVets work shifts that are less than a 45-minute drive from their homes. In some cases, the hospital will compensate you for your travel time, as well.
IndeVets is so much more than relief. With us, you don’t have to worry about searching for hospitals to work at, negotiating contracts, or managing the burdensome business aspects as a 1099 contractor. You get benefits and all the other perks of being part of a great organization like IndeVets.
